How To Prepare

Some Practicals:

Parking will be tight.  Please carpool when/if possible.

Bring your own lawn chair(s) or picnic blanket for Friday's Outdoor Activities.  There is a beautiful lawn if you prefer God's picnic blanket. Also bring sunscreen and/or a hat. There will be "wet" activities on Friday. Bring a towel and clothes that can get wet (and some dry clothes unless you prefer to air dry in the sun).

We are requesting water only in the sanctuary and no open cups.

A map and list of area restaurants will be distributed at registration.

Take advantage of the Convergence group on FaceBook before and after the event to connect & keep in touch.

Letter From Eliza:

Greetings Everyone!

We are definitely in the countdown for Convergence... as I write it is barely one week away. I cannot begin to express the excitement in my spirit; full of great anticipation and faith, for this appointed time the LORD is bringing us together. I wanted to take a moment to remind everyone of the heart of Convergence and some thoughts on how we can prepare... individually, as families, and corporately... for our time together.

Con ● ver ● gence

The degree or point at which lines, objects, etc.,
come together from different directions
to tend toward or achieve union or a common conclusion or result

THE VISION
A holy gathering of all generations to:

Remember
Who He is and who we are in Him

Reawaken
Things that have been deposited & imparted into our lives

Release
A generation filled with the fire of God

The first time I prayed with the Peavys about Convergence, Rebekah saw a banquet table prepared for us by the LORD. She sensed that He was calling us to come and dine. Kenny had an impression of "weight"... not necessarily heavy but HOLY. At that point he heard the word "summons" and had the impression that LORD was summoning us together. Later this summer I heard a quote from Lou Engle: "The church isn't invited to solemn assemblies. They're summoned."
As I have been praying about "what" to write in this "preparation" letter, these impressions come to the forefront. As I have prayerfully considered them, here are some thoughts I would like to submit to you:

   • Convergence is a consecrated, set apart time... it is important to the LORD and it is holy. He has called us together. Let us be intentional in asking the LORD, "How do I prepare?"... "Is there anything that You would have me do to come fully ready?" Be sure to embrace and do whatever He leads you to do.
   • Convergence is a celebration! Over and over again, I have sensed His joy and excitement over His sons and daughters coming together. Let us allow our hearts to also be full of anticipation and faith. We desire to come together with expectancy in our hearts without the expectation or definition of what our time together will look like.
   • Come hungry! "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled" Matthew 5:6
   • Stand guard against the lies of the enemy... particularly those that would bring into question the place He has for you and the part that you carry. Be mindful of any thoughts that would lead to comparision, discourgement, or the conclusion that "I don't really belong". Recently, while the local Convergence team was praying I heard Him clearly say, "There is room at my table for all my sons and daughters."
   • You are important! I have a strong sense that we need to come fully ready to receive whatever He has for us and fully ready to release what He desires for us to impart. Consistently from the beginning, as I have prayed for Convergence I have seen pieces of a puzzle coming together. I have felt that each piece represented the people He was bringing together and what they carry. Have you ever put a puzzle together only to realize that a few pieces are missing? The puzzle is incomplete. My consistent prayer has been... LORD, bring forth every piece... every person, for without each, we will not have the complete picture of what You desire. Just now, I received an e-mail from a dear friend of mine including a prayer for Convergence... "I pray for Your type of unity---unbeknownst to us---that our eyes would be opened to see each individual by Your spirit. I pray against rejection, that every person would feel welcome and a part of your body---nothing more and nothing less. By your Spirit, cause the body that arrives to fall into place and fit like a puzzle---with no one feeling less or more, but all an equal and important part of Your body. I declare heavenly unity to reign. I pray that those of us who know each other would be able to rejoice and fellowship with each other while at the same time loving and welcoming others." Let us hear what the Spirit is saying and stand in faith for it!
   • Let us come with the heart to be "with one accord in one place". Unity is of highest importance. Let us pray for and be purposeful to partner with Him to see unity a reality.

In closing, I would like to share some words that Rebekah wrote:

"Wow! So excited to see what will happen? The power of PRAYER! What can we do!???? Can you IMAGINE what Shifting will take place when we converge on the land? I feel like this shifting that Michael is talking about is something that is being felt in the church across the land. We, the Peavys, are feeling a shift too! What is HE up to? Why are we calling the children, adults, and families to meet on this day, on this land? We are stirring the pot of possibilities! God is stirring our hearts to prayer and we are posturing our lives to be in His Presence, so can you IMAGINE what HE is up to? I am ready! Our family is ready! Our land is ready! People get ready!"

His Kingdom come! His will be done!
Blessings and love!

Eliza
